Getting Images from a Removable Device

A removable storage device may be a CD, a portable disk drive, a memory card reader, or a camera (such as some Sony cameras) that registers itself with your computer as removable storage device. To get images from your storage device, do the following:

1.  Insert a CD into your CD-ROM drive, or connect your card reader or camera to the computer.

2.  Click on the Get Images From Removable Media Tool  on the toolbar.

3.  Select the removable media drive from a drop down list.

4.  FotoFinish will scan the drive and list folders where images were found.  

5.  Browse the folder list to see thumbnail previews of your images.  Choose the folder you'd like to transfer to your computer and click Next.

6.  Tell FotoFinish where you would like to save the new photos on your computer.
